Grown in the highlands of Tolima within Colombia’s Cordillera Central, this coffee comes from Café del Macizo, a small farming collective founded in 2003 in the municipality of Planadas. Around 59 growers work together, sharing knowledge and resources to produce exceptional coffee while supporting their community and land.

At 1,500–2,100 meters above sea level, the farms benefit from rich volcanic soil, cool mountain air, and ideal growing conditions that allow cherries to ripen slowly, developing layered sweetness and complexity.

Farmers cultivate small plots using traditional, hands-on methods that emphasize sustainability, soil health, and careful stewardship of the environment. Most lots are washed and sun-dried, a process that helps preserve clarity and highlights the coffee’s natural vibrancy.

The result is a balanced cup shaped by both place and people, characterized by bright fruit notes, a rounded body, and deep chocolate sweetness that reflect the harmony of this mountain-growing community.
