Peru Coffee Pods

From the high elevations of the Amazonian Andes in northern Peru, this coffee is produced by JUMARP (Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros Juan Marco El Palto), a cooperative founded in 2003 by just 35 smallholder farmers. Today, the coop has grown to nearly 190 members, including 40 women farmers who actively participate in leadership and decision-making roles.

At 1,600–1,800 meters above sea level, coffee is grown in rich Andean soils under shaded, biodiverse conditions. The region’s cool climate and high altitude slow cherry development, helping to build clarity, structure, and natural sweetness in the cup.

JUMARP is committed to organic and Fair Trade-certified production, with approximately 550 hectares dedicated to sustainable coffee farming. Their focus is not only on quality but also on improving long-term income, equity, and opportunity for member families through specialty coffee production.

The coffee is fully washed, highlighting the clean and expressive character of the origin. The result is a balanced cup with smooth body, medium acidity, and notes of lemon, herbal tones, and chocolate, highlighting both the richness of the Amazonian Andes and the cooperative’s commitment to sustainable farming and community growth.
