From the highlands of Jinotega, Nicaragua, this coffee is produced by COMULFAC (Cooperativa Multifuncional Family Coffee R.L.), a cooperative founded in 2013 by a group of family-owned farms with support from J&M Family export partners. The coop was built to unite small producers and strengthen both coffee quality and long-term community wellbeing.

Farms in this region range from 4 to 100 acres, with many families operating their own micro-mills. This small-scale structure allows producers to maintain close control over every step of production, from selective hand-picking to careful processing and drying.

At 1,000–1,400 meters above sea level, coffee is grown in favorable highland conditions that support balanced development and steady ripening. The result is a consistent and approachable cup shaped by both elevation and attentive farming practices.

Cherries are fully washed, then depulped, fermented, and sun-dried with care to preserve clarity and sweetness. By working collectively through the cooperative, farmers are able to pool resources, improve processing quality, and invest back into their families and communities.

The cup is smooth and well-balanced, with medium acidity and body, featuring notes of hazelnut, molasses, and graham cracker, finishing clean and emphasizing the comfort and craftsmanship of Nicaragua’s family-run coffee farms.
